MAJOR FLOODING EFFECT IN POOREST DALIT’S RESIDENTS:
AN APPEAL
SUB:CHANDRABAGA RIVER MAJOR FLOODING EFFECT IN POOREST DALIT’S RESIDENTS:
Dear Friends,
GSS is a grassroots level, non-religious, non-political, non-profit making organization providing sustainable strength, through natural resource management, Capacity building, Mobilization, Disaster mitigation, Ashraya Andolan (Residential land for movement) etc. to the poorest Dalit.
We appeal to you to liberally, contribute towards this cause into our account to initiate the process. Emergency Relief of one or more familes with tent (temporary roof) and livelihood support would cost around 1550 dollars (Rs. 85,000.00) including co-ordination cost of 15%. It may go up or come down. Again, depending upon the receipt of funds, we may increase / reduce the target coverage of families or even abandon the idea if the response is not to a minimum level. We request our friends / partners to liberally, contribute to this human cause.
120, peoples of 15, Dalits poorest families’ resident of chanderbagha riverbank at Dhalwala Rishikesh, they are effecting because of major flooding. Their houses are damaging fast. (Please see current repot, which included herein)
Major flooding started, 30 Jul 2007 at 2.00 AM is not only continuing up to now 1 Aug 2007 also major flood is increasing today then yesterday. Now flood are increasing and destroying house over in Chandrabagha River at Dhalwala. River is rising and all immovable and moveable assets being losing.
How sad, they has not get any quickly response due to being Dalit poorest because they are exploited, dominated, neglected, little amount against other cast with alone and unorganized.
While government and non-government speaks that protection and secure human right are provided to Dalit with bearing their share in national development. But reality of grassroots’ are saying so more different.
We APEAL / request that please help as you possible provide to them, they are living in crisis major flooding. Kindly provide your support immediately. We will receive your small or large donation with respectfully. We are waiting your positive response.
